NFAB Nerf Steps End Caps

Did you do the N-FAB 04-06 Tundra Double Cab nerf step bar mod? Or are you thinking about doing it? Did you wonder how to cap the back part of the bar tube that's left open after you cut it so water/debris doesn't flood in there? Are you tired of these rhetorical questions?  

Fear not! These are end caps that pop right in place where you flush cut the bar tube back in order to fit on our lovely Sequoias. This is to protect the inside of the tube that doesn't have powder coating. It's also there to protect you from any sharp edges that might be there after cutting the tubes back.

These will come as a set - 2 each - one for driver side step tube and the other for passenger side step tube and they will both be the exact same piece.

This is created with TPU via additive manufacturing and made to order. There is flexibility for installation, but enough rigidity to stay in place while operating your rig.

Fitment:

• ALL 1st gen Sequoias with the N-FAB T0480CC (glossy) or T0480CC-TX (textured) steps mod

The N-FAB T0480CC and T0480CC-TX are technically made for 2004-2006 Double Cab Tundras

There are not many options that cross between Tundra and Sequoia for the 1st gens when it comes to running boards or side steps, sadly. However, the double cab 2004-2006 Tundras had the same bolt pattern and location along the body where the original OEM steps were for the Sequoia - winner!

Only issue here is the Tundra overall length of the steps is a "little bit" longer than the Sequoia, so you have to modify/cut the tube for it to work.

The other sad part is there were not many aftermarket side step options made for the 2004-2006 Tundras. Purely subjective, but I think these are the best looking ones out there and are what I run with (specifically the textured ones).

Here's an example of how the steps look out of the box laid over the factory OEM ones for reference - you can see the bracket locations and holes line up

There is the front facing bracket location on both sides that doesn't get used - I can see that having 3 out of the 4 support points is enough and not much flexing when using the steps.

I taped up as even of a circumference as I could do around the tube to mark where I would cut. 

I chose to try and closely match where the end of the OEM steps went, then cut flush there.

Below is a shot of my blue painters tape marker for cutting and a measurement referenced off the nearest support. Be careful on this because you want the length to look relatively even on both sides BUT the bracket is flipped around on both sides, so the measurement will be different on both sides.

My length measurement below was to the outside of the blue tape on each side.
